Carrier Information​

Use the Carrier Information API to obtain detailed carrier and geographic information for a specific telephone number, including:

  • rateCenter
  • city
  • state
  • country
  • latitude
  • longitude
  • lata
  • formattedTn
  • type
  • lrn*
  • spid*
  • carrier*
  • carrierType*

*API users must qualify in order to gain access to these data elements. Contact NumberBarn API Support for more information.

Carrier information is updated nightly, so it may be up to 24 hours out of date. Use ?$realTime=true to perform a "live" lookup. Note that NumberBarn may charge a fee for each real-time lookup.

If you need to perform bulk lookups using the Carrier Information API, please contact us for access to our bulk API which is designed for higher query volumes.

Spellings​

Use the Spellings API to list known and suggested spellings for a specific telephone number.

Spellings have a type which is either:

  • approved: the spelling is already approved and can be used in listings immediately
  • suggestion: the spelling is a valid dictionary-based suggestion, and may be submitted for review

Note that all spellings are manually reviewed by NumberBarn staff. Overspells, profanity, inappropriate phrases, and known trademarks, may be rejected.
