With Thanksgiving right around the corner, we’re grateful for the upcoming delicious food that will be on our plates.
In true NumberBarn style, we’re not your typical out-of-the-box provider. And, the dishes on our Thanksgiving tables are not always so typical, either.
Check out what some of the NumberBarn team will be serving up this holiday:
GRAVY! Because I can pour it over everything. Plus, my mom makes it from scratch with the turkey drippings and it is the best gravy in the world! I put it on stuffing and mashed potatoes, and dip my rolls in it!Kylie, Order Fulfillment Manager
I’m not a huge fan of Thanksgiving food. Instead, I whip up a homemade veggie pizza from scratch, along with a salad and of course, wine.Jenny Sue, Customer Experience Manager
Stuffing. My family always had stuffing at Thanksgiving. I guess because not only does it combine all the goodness of the holiday: bread, turkey, spices, and more, but it confirms it is the Holidays as you generally only have stuffing at Thanksgiving.Brian, Co-founder
My fav dish is actually the turkey sandwiches a few days later, made with all the leftovers! Get some great hearty rye bread, dijon mustard, and stack everything up. So yummy!Matt, Customer Service Representative
We cook carne asada, pollo asado, guacamole, chips, rice, beans and then randomly someone will bring a pumpkin pie lol. The perks of living in SD – you can grill all year.Jenny C., Porting Manager
I’m all about the mashed potatoes and pumpkin pie. Though I could be convinced to have a Mexican feast instead.Amanda, Customer Service Representative
I’m a garbage disposal so I’ll eat everything but if it was one Thanksgiving dish I could choose, it would be Fried Chicken because I don’t eat if often.Stan, Customer Service Representative
Beulah’s Broccoli: A cheesy Broccoli dish covered in crushed Ritz crackers. Ain’t Thanksgiving unless that’s on our table. It is an ancient secret recipe that my Great Great Great Aunt Beatty Crocker introduced to our family in my childhood.Matthew, Co-founder
Cranberry relish. My wife and kids hate it but I love it. It’s wonderful on mashed potatoes. I make it every Thanksgiving. It looks like Pepto Bismol but I love the tart/bitter contrast to the normal super-sweet cranberry sauce.Brian, Director of Engineering
It’s NOT ham, I’ll say that much. The Pig
