If it doesn&#8217;t match, it will be rejected and your number will not port to NumberBarn. [insert frowny face here]. You can review your order details on the Numbers page in your account. Select <strong>Edit Order<\/strong> to make any adjustments. If you&#8217;re not sure what is on file in your account, contact your current service provider.<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: left;\">Step 2: Authorize Your Phone Number<\/h2>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft wp-image-1806\" src=\"http:\/\/www.numberbarn.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/02\/Screen-Shot-2018-02-14-at-8.23.54-AM.jpg\" alt=\"authorize port\" width=\"399\" height=\"226\" \/><\/p>\n<p><em>We need you to prove to us that you own the number.<\/em> Yeah, sounds like we don&#8217;t trust you but come on now, it&#8217;s just a part of the process. You have 3 different ways to authorize your port:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Receive a phone call to the number you are porting.<\/li>\n<li>Receive a text message to the number you are porting.<\/li>\n<li>Send over a signed LOA and COB (more on these below).<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong>No, we cannot change the number to which the authorization call or text arrives.<\/strong> We can only send the authorization code to the number you are porting to us.<\/p>\n<p>You will receive an authorization code to your number. You&#8217;ll enter the code into the text box in your account. This will submit your port request to your provider for review.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Can&#8217;t receive a phone call or text message on the number you are porting? No worries!<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>You can submit a Letter of Authorization (LOA) and a recent copy of bill (COB), dated within the last 30 business days, instead. Click Get LOA Instructions from within your account to download the form.<\/p>\n<p>Review, then autograph the LOA and send it back to us with your COB via email to our customer support.<\/p>\n<p>We&#8217;ll review your paperwork and if we need more info, we&#8217;ll let you know. Otherwise, we&#8217;ll submit your request.<\/p>\n<p><em>The porting requests take about 3-7 business days (sometimes more, sometimes less) from the point in which they have been authorized.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>We&#8217;ll notify you every step of the way by messages to the email address on file in your account.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>We\u2019re\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.numberbarn.com\">NumberBarn<\/a>, we take phone numbers very seriously.
