Similar to how we park a car in a parking spot to hold it for later \u2013 it\u2019s not moving. Just sitting there waiting for you.<\/p>\n<p><strong>What the Park plan CAN do:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Receive incoming calls to a 30 second recording that states the number is parked.<\/li>\n<li>Send and receive SMS messages (no limit).<\/li>\n<li>Email notifications when you receive an SMS.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>What the Park plan will NOT do:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Receive a phone call in which you can answer it.<\/li>\n<li>Place outbound calls using the number.<\/li>\n<li>Receive voicemail.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Don\u2019t feel too limited, however.<\/p>\n<p><strong>That $2\/month gets you those incoming calls to a recording of your choice \u2013 either you can use our general recording OR you can create your own custom recording.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The standard recording that comes with every plan sounds like this:<\/p>\n<!--[if lt IE 9]><script>document.createElement('audio');<\/script><![endif]-->\n<audio class=\"wp-audio-shortcode\" id=\"audio-1817-1\" preload=\"none\" style=\"width: 100%;\" controls=\"controls\"><source type=\"audio\/mpeg\" src=\"https:\/\/www.numberbarn.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/02\/parked.mp3?_=1\" \/><a href=\"https:\/\/www.numberbarn.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/02\/parked.mp3\">https:\/\/www.numberbarn.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/02\/parked.mp3<\/a><\/audio>\n<p>If you\u2019re not a fan of that, no worries! It won\u2019t hurt our feelings. Upload your own recording and remember, it will be capped at 30 seconds for the Park plan.<\/p>\n<p>The scenarios below, with sample recording scripts, can be used as a guide in creating your own custom Park message.<\/p>\n<h3>You\u2019re changing your number and want your callers to reach you on a new number.<\/h3>\n<p>Sample recording: <em>\u201cThanks for calling! You\u2019ve reached Jenny\u2019s old cell phone number. I\u2019m ditching this number and you can reach me at 867-5309. Please hang up and call me there. Thanks!\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<h3>Your business isn\u2019t open yet, but it will be soon.<\/h3>\n<p>Sample recording: <em>\u201cThanks for calling The Pig\u2019s BBQ Restaurant. We\u2019re almost open for business! Please visit our website for the most up to date status.
