How to Submit a Port When You Don’t Have a Copy of Bill

Sit back and enjoy the view from wherever you are, even if you can’t get your authorization code to verify your port. We’ve got you covered!

Porting a number from one phone service provider to another requires verification of ownership.

You will authorize your number using a four digit verification code that can be sent to you via a phone call or text message to that number.

Can’t receive a text or call on the number you are porting? No worries!

You can submit a Letter of Authorization (LOA) and Copy of Bill (COB) instead. The Letter of Authorization will be available under Option 2 in your online account upon initiation of the port request. The full authorization process steps are outlined in this tutorial:

BUT WAIT

What if you don’t have a copy of your bill?

No worries!

If you don’t have a copy of your bill, we can take one of the following:

  • A screenshot of your online account, making sure to include your phone number, name and any other identifying account information
  • An order confirmation for your number purchase

Gather up your autographed Letter of Authorization and your recent Copy of Bill, screenshot or order confirmation then email it to us over at support@numberbarn.com. We’ll then review and submit the documentation along with your port request. If we have any questions or need anything else from you, we’ll let you know through that email.

It can take up to 10 business days for the port to complete to your account and we’ll notify you via email every step of the way.

We’re NumberBarn, we take phone numbers very seriously. But, we also like to have a little fun. To sign up, visit NumberBarn.com and follow us on FacebookInstagram and Twitter.
